Chef’s Secrets: Al Pastor

This weekend, Magneto was motivated to try making al pastor at home. We’re such big fans of this style of meat, and using a method for oven-baking seemed doable.

It was more than doable, it was delicious!

He stacked the marinated meat on a skewer, with the top and bottom bookended by pineapple slices. Then he baked it until done, slicing the outside bits off for some incredible taco bowls.

Luckily, they were appetizer-sized, so that I didn’t feel guilty having two 🙂

I have very little clue as to what exactly was in the marinade, but I do know there were chiles involved… If I ever find out what magic he put in there, I’ll let you all know!
